The Colony House

Designed in 1916 by Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr., the Colony House overlooks the golf course and serves as the clubhouse and private hotel for Mountain Lake.

Cancellation Policy

Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. We therefore adhere to a strict cancellation policy. All room reservations require a one-night deposit. Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to arrival will result in a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of your confirmed arrival date will result in forfeiture of your deposit. A reservation moved to another date within the same season will not be penalized.



Check-in time is 2:00 pm.
Check-out time is 11:00 am. 

Specific Accommodations

The Colony House will accept requests for specific room locations at the time the reservation is taken. We will make every effort to grant these requests; however, they are not guaranteed. Several factors are used to determine the final room assignment, including length of stay and time of season.
